The Vitodata 100 server is connected to the Vitocom of the selected system.
- In this mode, current values can be called up from the device, and changes can be transferred immediately to the device.
- Icons indicating device status (displayed in front of the abbreviated device name in the Device bar):
Green dot: device is inOnline mode
There are no fault messages.Red triangle: device is inOnline mode
There are currently fault messages in the connected device. Note the fault messages and take suitable measures (Message history).
Establishing a connection
The Vitodata 100 server is connected with the Vitocom of the selected system.

The Vitodata 100 server is not connected with the selected system.
- This mode enables editing of parameters with Vitodata 100. Changes will only be transferred to the system when the next connection is established.
- Icons indicating device status (displayed in front of the abbreviated device name in the Device bar):
Grey dot: device is inoffline mode
During the last live connection no fault messages were present.Grey triangle: device is inOffline mode
During the last live connection fault messages were present in the connected device. Connect to the device and check whether there are still active fault messages; observe any fault messages and take appropriate measures (Message history).
Connecting to the device
Automatic connection
Only possible if communication between Vitocom and Vitodata 100 is established via IP networks (internet), e.g. with Vitocom 100, type LAN1.
The connection to the Vitocom will be automatically made if the system has been opened from the system overview.
Manual connection
If communication between Vitocom and Vitodata 100 is established via mobile networks, the connection must be made manually e.g. with Vitocom 200, type GP1.

Automatic disconnection
After a preset time has elapsed during which no data transfer occurred, the connection to the system will be disconnected automatically:
- Vitocom 100, type LAN1, Vitocom 200, type LAN2 and Vitocom 300, type LAN3: disconnected after approx. 12 hours
- Vitocom 200, type GP1 and Vitocom 300, type GP2: disconnected after approx. 15 minutes
Manual disconnection
If communication between Vitocom and Vitodata 100 is established via mobile networks, e.g. with Vitocom 200, type GP1, the connection can be disconnected manually.
Press Connected and
Disconnect in the connection menu. When
Connection disconnected appears, the system is disconnected (
Offline mode).
